About Us

Sproutfitters Children’s Resale is a family-owned and operated business with stores in Wentzville, MO, Leesburg, FL and Sanford, FL.

We started with a small store in Missouri in 2016. Stephanie, our daughter-in-law, wanted a better option than the resale stores around her. She didn’t want to walk into a smelly store to sort through clothes for her three young kids that were stained or torn. Stephanie knew other moms like her wanted a better resale experience- a clean, well-organized beautiful store that smelled great- all with reasonable prices. And so, Sproutfitters Children’s Resale was born!

Just like other young families, Stephanie and Ryan (her husband, our son) both worked other jobs as they began to buy clothes in gas station parking lots and garage sales, design the look of the store and the software necessary to buy the inventory, scout locations and work through all the details-including our adorable logo- of creating a new business. Dan and Laura helped out when they could.

Soon it was opening day and the store was a huge success! Almost immediately, Sproutfitters outgrew its location and moved to a much larger building in historic old town Wentzville, where it remains today. It wasn’t long after that moms began to ask for a store of their own and Stephanie and Ryan were delighted to open Revolve Reclaimed Clothing Exchange nearby.

Dan and Laura were excited to open the Leesburg store in 2020, where Sproutfitters and Revolve are in the same space in the Shoppes of Lake Village, next to Publix on Hwy 441.

Stephanie and Ryan opened Sproutfitters and Revolve in  Sanford in November 2022.
